Enduro Barako Attack – Bag Raid!!

Two amazing things that occurred last September 30, 2018 at Agoncillo Lemery, Batangas : 1st was the 6th Leg of the Enduro Alliance entitled ‘Enduro Barako Attack’, and 2nd it was my birthday! 🙂

Located 3 hours South of Metro Manila, Agoncillo, Batangas was one of the most anticipated venues for the Enduro Alliance since the race tracks are known to be natural – local residents use the race tracks on a daily basis – flowy, with beautiful scenic views overlooking Taal Volcano, and few technical portions with added spices from combination of deadly ascends that would really test the endurance and power-pedaling of the riders. A record-breaking of 300+ riders joined this year’s race and absolutely had a blast on the tracks.

Being a first-timer to join the race in Batangas, and with very limited time to do some track-reads, I did not anticipated the hellish Liaison that is about to greet me during the race day. I say hellish, because simply put climbing the 11 km of pure ascend made me question my life choices hahaha

But given the fact that the LS2 has been really challenging which almost pushed me to the edge, the entire race experience for me has been one of the most pressure-free, fun and with the most enjoyable tracks I’ve ever ridden.

Ever wondered what the racers are carrying during races? Do they carry backpacks, belt bags or no bag at all? Well, I was curious, (and guilty knowing that I myself was never a light-packer) I wanted to know what are the essentials the riders carry nowadays. So I interrupted their peace while resting after the strenuous liaison and had a little chat with them 🙂 check out the video below:

So what are the best MTB backpacks nowadays?
